Interesting article! I recently bought a Gregory hydration backpack and noticed it has a P65 warning. When I received it, the detail was revealed on the tag which states “This product can expose you to chemicals including Chromium (hexavalent compounds)…” It seems strange to me that a hydration backpack would have this chemical. I assume it’s the same chromium-6 in your article. Is the presence of this chemical in consumer goods something that you think should get pushback on the consumer front?

Chromium6 does NOT just cause cancer-it kills! You gave us the evidence in the ATSDR profile on chromium. Remember our son, who died from 49 ppb chromium after taking two sips in Baechtel Creek, upstream from the closed Willits Remco plant? And now you support fracking?! WTFrack?! Earthspeak.org
