Hi Joan, It's an unfortunate part of democracy. Who holds DC accountable? We make these great laws, bills or funding allocations and then where does the money go? That's the question. It's why I'm always harping on getting involved locally. Get to know your state reps, your city council, your mayor, etc. Where's the budget sheet? Lawmakers esp at state and local level should be sharing this information rn.

You mentioned that Mississippi was (or is) slated to received $429 million to repair and replace their water infrastructure system, but the links don't provide updates on whether the money has actually been received and/or spent. The paper says it will continue to follow the money story, but I didn't see any updates. How is this possible since the bill was signed and money allocated about a year ago? Just wondering about your thoughts on this—thanks!
