Even in our small communities in western colorado (moffat county) the truth is being diluted. Grant money for stupid shit that negates and takes attention away from the Monochloramine treated water that will be filling the new public pools they’re trying to get. I’m rather novice having started my personal investigation in the past few months. I’m distraught and sickened by the lack of accountability by even low level elected city government officials in the safety of their communities.

In the medical profession, we follow EXACT testing standards in order to make claims the results of these tests are accurately represented. These processes back the tests validity. Municipalities pick the homes they test, do not always follow the requirements for the Lead and Copper Rule testing (15/30 lead service lines, 15/30 copper with lead solder or ALL lead services lines in high risk areas). They are allowed to give out their own version of the testing process. Thank God when you go for your medical tests you know that nurse, doctor, lab tech did not pick the questions they wanted on their state board exams, then grade them themselves to submit them for licensure. In order to make claims of “meeting and exceeding EPA standards and guidelines” those standards in the testing process need to be followed. Imagine going to the doctor to get the results of a test to rule out a skin cancer on the bridge of the nose and the doctor offered reassurance that the person is cancer free because the test on the big toe showed no cancer. Wait, WHAT???
