I never realized how much water a supercomputer takes. Human needs should come before artificial intelligence's.

I believe this increase in use of AI (which, I agree, many of us never asked for) is linked to our PFAS chemical pollution problem. I read the other day that semi-conductors can’t be manufactured without whatever PFAS chemical(s) they use. We are asking water utilities to remove PFAS, which is absolutely necessary, but I fear we are not doing enough to stop PFAS substances at the beginning of the use cycle.

It's a test to see what they can get away with. They plan on taking this nationally. Peter Thiel, Musk, and Vance are like 3 peas in a pod. They want to have these super computers everywhere. Musk has xAI and Thiel has Palantir. Musk is planning another one in Memphis. There's a reason they included in the bill about no regulations on AI for 10 years. In 10 years time, it won't matter what they have done.

Blow it up before it is built. Shame on those polluting others.

This is horrific. Not only is nobody outside of tech asking for AI, but ruining the air and water in service of a supercomputer that may one day replace jobs is downright dystopian. With the Trump regime’s redeployment of all the environmental justice attorneys at DOJ and Musk’s weakening of the EPA (via Doge), residents cannot expect the federal government to ride to their rescue. It’s clear that Musk’s campaign contributions bought himself a favorable regulatory system so he could pollute the air and water with impunity. The rest of us are all expendable in the billionaires’ quest for wealth and power.

Mr.Musk should move all of his family there. If not - that answers clean air question right there.

Please help address what is going on in Memphis, TN with xAI and Colossus. Musk has built and is operating 35 turbines that are poisoning the air.

Jen Ward and Marvin Schneider address this debacle in energy. it is an empowering way to address it.
