Yep, we live in manatee county and our tap water always smells… we never drink it. We have no choice to shower in it.

I'm enjoying the report. I went to seeMs. Brockovich speak in Iowa City a little more than a week ago and purchased the book, "Superman's not Coming." Enjoyed the speaking engagement also.

Thank you for all of your work exposing government malfeasance! My family was personally affected very significantly by Camp Legeune drinking water. I would be honored if you would read “Camp Legeune and Baby Heaven.”

We use a 6 stage under sink system with a special medical waste filter and remineralization function. Unfortunately most systems do not filter below 3 ten thousandths of a micron. In order to help filter out estrogen I believe it has to be at least that effective. 2 ten thousandths of a micron would be ideal. I don't think many people are truly able to comprehend the amount of bioidentical estrogen found it the environment, whether from pharmaceutical grade estrogen therapies or bioidentical estrogen from phytoestrogens. My research has exposed the connection between phytoestrogen and estrogen receptor positive breast cancer, as well as many other estrogen dominance related diseases. Majority of menopausal women are taking some form of it, and it's easy to overmedicate into estrogen dominance by compounding these forms. Speaking of, if anyone is interested in learning about the lies, medical fallacies and misinformation pushed by menopause Drs, all of mu information is backed by 50 years of breast cancer prevention research and physiology. Infertility and all estrogen dominance diseases have been on the rise since soy was first introduced into majority of all processed foods. From one whistleblower to another, I've always had great respect for you and other women not afraid to stand up for what's right. I'm doing it for all of the hormonally manipulated children out there. I pray for the world to be able to have this information @Erin Brockovich

I was a teacher in Boardman Oregon & we’ve been begging the state to declare a State of Emergency for the last 30yrs over Nitrate pollution from the worlds largest vegetable producer over fertilizing intentionally. They keep violating water permits & they state doesn’t even fine them enough to fix our water.

It impacts mainly a rural, impoverished, migrant population. It’s clear Oregon is nothing but performative activism on helping minorities. We could really use some bigger eyes like yours on the issue.

We have through the roof cancer & miscarriage rates in the area.

I have well water with a filtration system and yet all of my dogs have cyst and growths. Could it be their food or both the water and food? I don’t know but I am very concerned about our well water and its properties

I live about 30 miles from Hemet. Even in highly regulated CA cities, our drinking water is loaded with all the things Erin identifies. Gulp.

Beware of bottled water. Half of it comes from Municipal water sources and the other half comes from Nestle, the evil corporation that BUYS a regions water, then jacks up the price & sells it back to the public. Get yourself a good filter bottle and call it a day. Plus, saves millions of tons of plastic waste.

well I guess my question is this, bottled water isn't any better is it? I mean, plastic bottles and who knows where the water actually came from.

I use a reverse osmosis system, but always recommend checking what's in your water and finding a filter that removes those toxins. They have a good guide here: https://www.ewg.org/tapwater/water-filter-guide.php

In my hometown there are apparently 27 contaminants, 14 (nearly half!) of which exceeded eWG’s guidelines. One of those was 968x more than recommended safe levels by EWG. Scary and sobering stuff…

Are we ok if we have a reverse osmosis system?? Also- we live in a place with well water- in a suburb of a major city. Do you know much about contaminants getting into well water??

Many communities I've worked with that have major contamination were on well water. You can get more info here: https://www.epa.gov/privatewells/private-drinking-water-well-programs-your-state

Have your well water tested. It's the only way to find out.

Yeah but I’m sure they don’t do all these tests. In fact I know it. It’s been tested. It’s only for basics. Not sure how I would get all the things they mentioned in the article
