Hi Erin, I’m writing about the contaminated water in Oakdale MN and surrounding areas…the water is contaminated with large amounts of PFAS. Several children from Tartan High school have died from rare cancers. 3M has had dumping grounds of PFAS and one was near Tartan High School. Why are children still allowed to attend school here ? Why hasn’t 3M done anything? I live in Stillwater about five miles from Oakdale and large amounts of PFAS have been detected in our drinking water too. I pray that they are held responsible and more actions are taken to remedy the problem. I just read an article about this in Minnesota and it makes me sick. I hope you can help.
My daughter, an athlete for 4 years at a college in southern Mississippi, who graduated in 2019, was diagnosed with cancer of the liver and bile ducts in 2019. She died 8/4/22 at the age of 25. Per the oncologists, her cancer was environmentally caused. In the Cancer Alley vicinity for school and work. We are aware of other cases of gastrointestinal cancers among students there. Where do we begin ?
