Excellent article, Erin. I hope it's shared widely across major social media, not just this platform. 🙏

Great article, thank you! We have a pond on our property but have managed to keep down the algae blooms by carefully monitoring the health of the water and the turtles who live there. Making sure water runs through the pond to a stream rather than allowing stagnation really helps.

We are experiencing some algae bloom in the lakes here in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas and our property owner's association seems to have some confusion and unclear understanding about this. There are over 15,000 families with children and grandchildren here who want to swim, kayak and canoe in the 11 lakes here, as they have for many years. The population really booms during the summer months here...Thanks for providing this important information. Thanks for providing this important information.

Thank you. I’m going camping with family last week of July, in Mass. I will be using the tracker.

This is exactly why environmental policy cannot be reduced to appearances. Green water is a warning sign, not a cosmetic inconvenience. Nutrient pollution, heat, weak infrastructure, and budget cuts are converging…

When they stop spraying our skies and manipulating the weather then our water bodies and forests will have a chance to thrive 😡

Hi Erin and Suzanne

The pond on our property is a constant battle. It’s just your normal thread algae but it’s unattractive and I’m constantly raking out clumps of it. And yes, we live downhill from a farm field.
